HIVSA

HIVSA, a non-profit organisation established under Section 21 of the Companies Act, was started to support people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

It runs a broad range of social-support programmes for people with HIV/AIDS in greater Soweto, Gauteng and the Bohlabela district in Limpopo.

HIVSA was developed to serve a growing need for the support of people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

HIVSA’s aim is to enable HIV infected and affected people to build resilience through an innovative community-based programme, thereby encouraging them to reach their full potential.

What is the relationship between HIVSA and the PHRU?

HIVSA logoHIVSA works closely with the Perinatal HIV Research Unit (PHRU). The PHRU offers treatment and care to people with HIV/AIDS.

HIVSA supplements these services with a comprehensive support programme.
