IMBIZO - Male Support Programme

Males attending the ZAZI VCT centre are encouraged to register with the Imbizo programme giving them an opportunity to discuss issues with male counselors and enroll for educational workshops. Men who receive a negative test result might possibly be in a window period are reminded via a SMS service to retest at a later date. Condom usage and risk reduction form part of the programme.

Men who test positive are referred to the PHRU wellness clinic for follow up. Pregnant women reached through various other HIVSA services are encouraged to refer their partners to the Imbizo programme.
