Directors Message

Since its establishment in March 2002, HIVSA has emerged as an organisation that has made its mark in developing and implementing a range of psychosocial support programmes directed to households both directly and indirectly affected by HIV/AIDS.

HIVSA is very much a product of the times. Its formation was conceptualised in the pretreatment years when there was a growing acknowledgement that whilst treatment was critical, so too was psychosocial support, providing factual HIV information and educating people about the importance of nutrition and healthy lifestyles.

The directors of HIVSA wish to acknowledge the support and commitment of their staff whom, lest we forget, are part of the community we serve and face the same challenges on a daily basis.

We, as an organisation, are continually striving to strengthen our existing services and evaluate the impact we have on the communities that we support.

HIVSA is actively engaged, at all levels, in ensuring that can and are making a positive contribution to reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS in our country - South Africa
