Abe Si Fazane - Information and support centre

This centre is situated in Diepkloof, Soweto. Women, including young girls, are at the forefront of this epidemic and in many instances have no one to turn to for guidance on reproductive and or sexual health issues. This community based centre is open daily providing a variety of services and information ranging from basic HIV to “reproductive health issues”, MTCT, including one on one counseling. Approximately 30 women attend workshops held twice weekly at the centre. In addition HIVSA conducts daily information talks at two antenatal clinics targeting over 3,300 pregnant women per annum of whom approximately 900 are HIV+.
