Assistant ICT Applications & Project Support Officer

ICT Application and Project Support Officer is responsible for assisting the ICT application and Support Officer in providing technical, application and administration support to the organization and its CBOs.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Matric or Grade 12 , Diploma in Information Technology Diploma in supply chain management will be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Office 365
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience in IT operations and help desk.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Analytical skills to diagnose user problems.
  • Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues.
  • Openness to learning new technologies as the IT landscape evolves.
  • Good report writing skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid south African drivers’ licence.

Key Performance Areas:

    • Tech Support (for All departments & CBOs, Biometric and Video Conferencing):
      • Identifying hardware and software solutions for staff (HIVSA & CBO’s)
      • Trouble shooting technical issues on HIVSA staff & CBO equipment, devices and other IT equipment.
    • Network Administration (HIVSA network – Wi fi, laptops, fibre, printer, Telephone. Cellphone & SIM cards support)
      • Working with Network service providers to install and configure network equipment and to fix hardware and software (ITEC for Biometric and printing, TALKIP for Phones, SevenC for Fibre and COMSOL connectivity)
    • IT Administration
      • Creating user account for HIVSA existing and new staff and providing access control
      • Working with Service providers on implementation of security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats to HIVSA’s network.
    • Application Support and Administration:
      • Providing Software application support to HIVSA and CBOs staff (Office 365, CSS Data base)
      • Performing an analysis on software applications and suggesting improvements (Biometric, Printer Server, Video Conferencing).
