WHO IS HIVSA?

We innovatively transform and empower individuals, community workers and organisations by developing their capacities to effectively respond to the socio-economic and health challenges that burden communities.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The M&E officer, under the guidance of the M&E Coordinator and M&E Project Manager, oversees the implementation of MERL and verification activities at site level. They track program performance using M&E tools, provide mentoring to site M&E Champions for accurate and timely reporting against targets, conduct regular data quality assurance, and collaborate closely with program teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

A bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Social Sciences, Statistics, Monitoring, and Evaluation (M&E), or other related fields.

Experience:

      • At least two years’ work experience in the field of M&E, data management, or other closely related fields
      • Excellent computer skills (Windows 10, MS Office Word, and Excel experience)
      • Experience with CBIMS database.
      • Good understanding of, and experience working with, Community-Based Organisations (CBOs)
      • Excellent communication skills in English and at least two African languages, preferably Zulu and Sotho.
      • Excellent reporting skills
      • Effective time management skills
      • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
      • Ability to work under pressure and be proactive.
      • Must have a valid driver’s licence and an active driver.
