MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Office Assistant will be responsible to perform tasks and activities associated with the cleaning of offices, meeting and training rooms and kitchens as well as assist with the day-to-day requirements of the Training Centre on the Ground floor or as indicated. The main objective is to clean all areas thoroughly with the aim of enhancing the standards of cleanliness. Office Assistant can be required to work alone or in teams and still expected to cover the entire office.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Matric or Grade 12 .

  • Experience/ Attributes :
  • Two - three years relevant cleaning experience in a business environment.
  • Being able to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Must be able to multitask and stick to their schedules while also responding to incidents as they occur throughout the day.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to follow health and safety standards.
  • Time management.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Cleaning of offices and training rooms
  • Supply and set up refreshments to all staff and visitors and assist with other events / functions.
  • Assist with all catering needs for meetings and trainings.
  • Refuse removal.
  • To assist the Office & Logistics Coordinator and Receptionist
  • To keep proper control of all groceries and cleaning material
