Procurement Officer-North West


HIVSA is a not-for-profit company established in 2002 and is a strategic partner of the Provincial Departments of Health and Social Development. We innovatively transform and empower individuals, community workers and organisations by developing their capacities to effectively respond to the socio-economic and health challenges that burden communities.


The Procurement Officer is responsible for organizing and implementing procurement policies and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for the following programme areas:

  • Maintenance of HIVSA “List of preferred suppliers”
  • Coordination of procurement and dissemination of goods and services.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Matric or Grade 12.
  • Must have excellent typing skills (Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook)
  • Diploma in supply chain management will be advantageous.


  • 3 years’ experience in procurement, with good verbal and written communication .
  • Valid Drivers License.

Key Performance Areas:

  • tend to all procurement requests from all various departments within HIVSA
  • Prepare the payment requisitions and ensure they are compliant.
  • Request quotations from suppliers.
  • Follow up on quotations with suppliers.
  • Prepare Purchase orders.
  • Update procurement dashboard.
  • Ensure the proper filing, archiving, and safeguarding of original financial records.
  • Attend to queries related to procurement.
  • Assist with any compliance related requests.
