WHO IS HIVSA?

HIVSA is a not-for-profit company established in 2002 and is a strategic partner of the Provincial Departments of Health and Social Development. We innovatively transform and empower individuals, community workers and organisations by developing their capacities to effectively respond to the socio-economic and health challenges that burden communities.

Main Purpose of the Role:

The Programme Manager will be responsible for overall implementation of the preventing HIV and AIDS amongst children, adolescents and families programme in the North- West Province. This role includes stakeholder engagements, budget management, sub-partner management and performance management of project managers.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

A minimum of bachelor’s degree in public health, Health Administration, Management, Social Work or Business Administration with a focus on public health, social science or related field.

Experience:

  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience in team management and implementation of PEPFAR-funded activity, including program planning, implementation, data use, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of PEPFAR Technical Guidance for OVC and Prevention.
  • Demonstrated experience in public health and OVC programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including NGO partners and Government Institutions of South Africa at all levels.
  • Demonstrated written, presentation, communication, and organizational skills in English.
  • Understanding of the South Africa health care delivery system
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of South Africa’s health and social service information systems and monitoring and evaluation processes as it relates to data collection for performance- based reporting.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of U.S. Government program management regulations will be an advantage.
